Ethics for University Students This seminar, offered by the
office of Student Life Advising
Services is taught by Alex Alday and Martine Alexander. It seeks to introduce
freshpersons to issues of ethical behavior in the context of UC Berkeley’s academic
and social environment. Academic honesty and the recognition of the rights and respect
of others will be discussed using existing university policies that govern
university ethics/behavior (e.g. plagiarism, accountability) and a variety of articles
about social conditions/moral behavior (e.g. racism, political activism, substance abuse).
